1.     Any payment is needed for vehicle cancellation at the transport department?

This is free. It is better to go to the transport department within 15 days.

 

2.     Can I reserve the car registration mark?

After completing the deal with an official scrapping company,

you can do the cancellation vehicle process &reservation of

registration mark at the same counter.

Vehicle license

Scrapping document

Form of retaining vehicle registration mark (TD129)

3.     Can I get a refund on an unexpired vehicle license fee (like 4 months)?

 This is refundable if the unexpired license fee is over 60 days.

No extra form is needed in case of vehicle cancellation registration.

The cheque will be sent to your registered address.

 

4.    I didn’t use my car over two years and received the cancellation notice from the transport department, thus I do not need to scrap anymore?

Even your usage right is stopped by the transport department,

you are still legally responsible for any circumstances. 

To cancel the ownership of the vehicle,

please contact an officially registered scrapping company to get rid of the car completely.

 

5. I lost my vehicle registration paper. Can I scrap the car?

We can provide the scrapping document by the chassis number.

The owner must go to the transport department in person,

to regain the vehicle registration paper and process the cancellation registration.
